We have been star struck lately. Nope, no celebrity sightings here at Liquid. Maybe it's because we don't have umbrellas in our drinks or jet skis for rent by the hour. Despite the lack of Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie we still managed to see some big time stars. Early in October we received the 5 Star Dive Resort status from PADI. Then in the middle of October we received the Green Star Award. For those of you who don't know your constellations, here is what the Green Star Award is all about: PADI Dive Centers and Resorts who have earned the Green Star Award demonstrate a dedication to conservation across a wide range of business functions, including (but not limited to): -Water conservation -Energy use -"Environmentally friendly" transportation practices -Optimized waste management -Use of sustainable materials -Conservation leadership -Paperless interactions with their PADI Regional Headquarters -Donation to Project AWARE Liquid is proud to be included amongst the other PADI Dive Centers and Resorts around the world to be recipients of a Green Star. Not to mention our recognition from PADI for having grown into our boots a bit more, with the 5 Star Dive Resort status. Does this mean we can advertise ourselves as a 6 Star resort?
