First Sunday Funday

updates

On Sunday December 2nd Liquid held it's first ever Sunday Funday.

The dive site clean-up was held in the morning with a load of fishing line being cleaned off of the reef.  Of course there was plastic and other debris collected as well.

In the scorching mid-day sun we also held a beach clean-up.  Several sacks of rubbish were collected from the beach as well.  Even with the heat we managed to cart back a massive amount of debris from our coastline.

After all of the hard work was done there was live music and a few refreshing beverages to combat the heat.  The afternoon also involved a few competitive games of volleyball.  This month staff narrowly beat out the guests for the title of volleyball champs.  Sorry guest, maybe next month:)

Towards sunset we held our first environmental quiz.  Team "Hollywood" ended up withthe most points but everyone on our six teams took home some valuble knowledge about the ocean and marine debris.

Once all of the games and contests wrapped up the band continued to play through the night.  Of course we were only just getting started by then.  To top off the night we had a little Nintendo Wii "dance off" to round out the day.

All in all it was a great day and we are looking forward to the next Sunday Funday in the new year.

Hope to see you there.
