The signatures for Project AWARE’s shark petition are coming in steadily. In the past month there have been 6,500 additional signatures and its all due to passionate divers (thank you!) spreading the word. But as it stands we still need 152,500 more signatures within the next 332 days – that’s 459 signatures a day.

The clock is ticking and that’s why Project AWARE is focusing on the Big Shark Shout Out during the month of April to rally divers to shout for sharks as part of their Earth Day activism. So please, if you have haven’t yet had a chance to sign the petition please do it now and if you have please stay standing up for sharks and ask your friends to sign, add the petition widget to your website or print out the signature sheets to ask everyone you can.
