April Dive Against Debris

updates

Well, we are almost done with our April Dive Against Debris at Rainbow Reef.  This morning we had three boats go out, two to Molasses Reef and one to the USCG Duane.  All divers aboard, 60 total divers, scoured our reefs and wrecks on both the morning and afternoon trips.  The Molasses Reef trips were VERY pleased to have a very miniscule amount of trash.  This particular reef is one of the most dived sites in the Keys and we are consistent in keeping it clean.  The USCG Duane has a lot of fishing line on it and divers cleaned a large section of the superstructure of all the line.  We at Rainbow Reef Dive Center are pleased with the results of today's efforts in the face of 4 to 5 foot seas and a bit of current.  Our braves divers pressed on against the elements to keep our seas clean!  What did you do for Earth Day?  We will have another entry and some photos when we finish at the end of the day.  Stay tuned!
