On the 17th of September 92 children of the (dive) tourism education from the Senior Highschool, cleaned up the beaches of the islands Siladen and Bunaken. 5 hours of cleaning resulted in about 10 M3 of plastic waste; mainly consisting of plastic bottles and styrophoam. All transfers , as well of people as trash was conducted by Thalassa Dive Center. The KehidupanAnda foundation sponsored a reusable "bottle bag" with name tag, to help the students identify their own water bottle and to remind them to refill the bottle instead of trashing it.
