Nova Scotia Shark Conservation Awareness

updates

The event was a huge success with a far greater number of attendees than was expected! The event quickly turned into standing room only. We had two guest speakers Bob Semple, who gave an excellent presentation on shark species that could be encountered in Nova Scotia waters as well as his own encounters around the world. Bob's 40 years of experience in underwater photography was well representined in his visual presentation and much appreciated by all. Tracey Leask, a marine biology student at Dalhousie University an avid shark conservationist gave an enthuastic presentation on the negative human interactions with shark species.

A big thank you to Torpedo Rays Scuba Adventures for hosting this event. We look forward to engaging further into shark conservation in Nova Scotia! See everyone at our next event!
