The PADI IDC Indonesia with Award Winning Platinum PADI Course Director take place at the only PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (CDC) in Gili Trawangan.

All students on the program are strongly advised to donate to Project AWARE and in August 2015 100% of candidates made a donation so it was a double celebration.

So we extend a huge congratulations to Simon, Mark, Leesa, Casey, Blair, Lisa and Bernie for their achievements on the PADI Instructor Examination and an even bigger congratulations for making the Project AWARE donation.

There are many environmental programs that can be combined with the PADI IDC in the Gili Islands including a range of Reef Restoration projects that focus on reviewing, maintaining and protecting the reef structures around the Gili Islands. The dive center also offers the Biorock Indonesia Program which gives divers the opportunity to design and build a Biorock Structure and place it around the Gili Islands. There is also a weekly beach cleanup organized by the Gili Eco Trust.

The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) takes place every month at Trawangan Dive; the first ever established PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (CDC) in the Gili Islands, Indonesia and offers the full range of PADI Instructor level courses. All Instructor level training is fully conducted by Multi Award Winning Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod.

The program is split between classroom, swimming pool and open water training sessions. During the classroom sessions candidates will take part in a series of presentations and workshops; these will include Marketing Presentations, The 4 E’s of sales, Diver Retention, The Business of Diving, Risk Management, and Diver Acquisition. There will also be a range of course conduct presentation on all of the full range of programs that PADI provide. There will also be some formal practice exams as well as some internal practice exam sessions so as to prepare candidates fully for their PADI Instructor Examination.

The Confined Water Workshops allow candidates the time to practice their skill circuits and the PADI Rescue Exercise 7. A series of workshops will also be conducted including the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) Workshop, Student Control, the Rescue Workshop, and the Skill Circuit Workshop. The sessions are also scheduled in a way to give the candidates plenty of practice in conducting their confined water presentations whilst being evaluated by Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod.

Open Water Workshops take place on the purpose built training sites around the Gili Islands. During the Open Water sessions candidates will take part in Rescue Workshops, The CESA and Descent Workshops, Student Control, Skills Workshops, The Adventures in Diving Workshop. Open Water Teaching Presentations will be practiced numerous times whilst being evaluated by Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod. Whilst in Open Water candidates will also get plenty of chances to practice and develop their Rescue Exercise & demonstration and any other skills they wish.
