The Gili IDC Indonesia at Trawangan Dive coral conservation center

updates

Image removed.

Our PADI IDC program based here in the Gili Islands is based at Trawangan Dive Resort, Indonesia which is a 100% Project AWARE partner and a coral conservation center. Both the Divemaster and Instructor Development programs can be combined with the Biorock Indonesia volunteering program.

The Gili IDC Indonesia is a 10 day course. However candidates are recommended to arrive as early as possible so as to take part in the pre IDC revision workshop. The IDC course is run every month here at Trawangan Dive and provides the necessary training to a standard over and above that required by the industry.

The basic process of Biorock is to apply a low voltage current stimulating the growth and development of solid limestone structures and accelerating the growth of coral. This in turn provides the perfect habitat for reef fish and provides additional protection to our coastlines.

Environmental activities run by Trawangan Dive include Introduction to reef gardening, diving against debris events, 1 or 2 day PADI Biorock specialty and a longer term volunteering program.

If you’re interested in taking you PADI IDC program here in The Gili Islands, Indonesia check out our Gili IDC website or contact our PADI Course Director.
