I'm excited to share the news that Blue Guru Conservation & Diving's proposed project has been shortlisted by Project AWARE to proceed to the final round of public voting.

Blue Guru's project aims to gather required data to successfully campaign for expansion & greater enforcement of no-fishing zones around Surin National Park, which includes the whale shark & manta ray magnet: Richelieu Rock.

Local Thais & Mokens (indigenous sea gypsies with rights on Surin Islands) will be involved in survey dives, so that there is sustainable commitment to improved protection of endangered shark & ray species locally.
