Donations for my shave to save sharks are now at $1120!  Can't quite believe it, but it shows just how many people are concerned about protecting shark species.  Lauren from Project AWARE shared with me the specific goals for the shark project, they are to:

·         Provide greater protection for sharks through international, national and local legal instruments and policy changes.

·         Implement changes to cruel and wasteful fishing practices, including finning.

·         Creation of safe havens for sharks in the form of well managed marine parks with high levels of protection.

Ultimately this campaign is Fighting to stop finning, Insisting on full protections for Critically Endangered sharks, and Negotiating strong policies to ensure a brighter future for all sharks!
