CITES was a huge success with the oceanic whitetip shark, three species of hammerhead sharks (scalloped, smooth, and great), the porbeagle shark and manta rays all receiving protection from fishing.  While this protection does not ban fishing it certainly does severely restrict fishing.  Thanks to all who helped whether signing a form or going to Bangkok for their voice to be heard by the CITES delegates.
