Bass Lake "Dive Against Debris" Clean up dive
updates
Today a small group of us went out to bass lake for a "Dive against Debris" dive to clean up the debris we could find on our dive.
4 divers attended in some very CHILLY conditions! Its the middle of winter here in Johannesburg South Africa so the water was a very cool 12 Deg C only allowing us to do a short 30 - 35 min dive at a max depth of 8m.
Majority of debris was Aluminium beer & coke cans s well as several potato chip packets that had been blown up into the air and had settled at the bottom of the lake.
These we collected and discarded. We will conduct these dives on a more regular basis and we will incorporate this into every training weekend we do there.
more info to follow soon tx
