Here comes the rain…and wind…and marine debris.

updates

It’s finally happening! Sabah’s dry season is finally coming to an end and here comes the rain…and wind…and marine debris.

The rain is always a welcome natural weather condition, but unfortunately our local community must battle against the accompanying marine debris, which is an onslaught of damage toward our marine environment when it does occur.

Every morning, especially after a stormy evening, our Work4aCareer PADI Divemaster trainees will organise a beach clean up. Not only does the natural environment in the immediate vicinity of our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre maintain environmental health, but any student divers beginning a PADI course or program will appreciate it more to master their SCUBA skills.

Downbelow’s Go PRO team of elite PADI Instructor Trainers will begin their award winning PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) very soon, and it will be very beneficial for our Go PRO interns to get involved in beach and underwater clean ups to gain experience to inspire their student divers in future!
