Downbelow Proud To Be Involved in Guinness World Record Acheivement

updates

In early April this year, Malaysia's sole cable television operator Astro organized a world record attempt for the longest underwater cleanup ever held with Borneo as its location.

Downbelow was proud to be involved in this attempt and we are happy that the 7-days and 7-nights of consecutive cleaning was recognised and will be featured in the Guinness Book of World Records so we are part of history as well!

The project which involved over a hundred divers coming in from all over the world saw them taking turns diving into the ocean floor and come up with a bag of rubbish.

At the end of the one week period, more than 3 tonnes of massive garbage was collected!

Downbelow is passionate about conservation and the up-keeping of our environment so seeing so many individuals diving and cleaning together made us very happy. We hope the awareness raised through this program will make people think twice before they throw rubbish into the sea or even the drain.

A big round of applause to everyone involved in the project!
