PADI Instructor Development Course involves teaching Project AWARE issues!

updates

Project AWARE and PADI have a strong partnership to support their common goal of raising awareness of environmental issues and actively protecting our underwater world!

Downbelow are passionate in their conservation efforts as the entire company staff team get involved with various activities, such as coral planting, educational presentations, fundraising, beach and underwater marine debris ‘clean-ups’, sharks in peril, illegal net removals and the list goes on...

Any program conducted, at our PADI 5 Star IDC dive centre on Gaya Island, is emphasised with an awareness of the environment.

Each Instructor Development Course (IDC) focuses on many aspects of scuba diving instruction as well as teaching the Project AWARE Specialty course. All dive professionals have a duty to uphold the mission and goals to conserve our aquatic environment and spread this awareness.

PADI Instructors maintain their duty to spread this awareness, as it is a requirement for student divers to dive in an environmentally friendly manner and this prevails throughout each level of the PADI system of dive education. It is not only for this reason that Instructors encourage environment conscious practices, but because it is a long-standing passion for many professional divers.

Conservation is a lifelong commitment that all dive professionals share, even the IDC covers various topics, such as pollution or reef biology, to develop soon-to-be PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors to efficiently extend their knowledge to their future student divers.

It is admirable to know fellow divers, recreational or professional, share and work towards the same vision of environmental protection.

We thank all divers for their committed support!
