Planning the dive together to save the marine environment!

updates

Conservation projects are led by our resident Platinum PADI Course Director Richard Swann, and the team organised are experienced divers with professional aspirations.

This is to include our Go PRO internship candidates, both local and international, as well as a few members of our team of experienced PADI professionals who are dedicated Instructors of our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre. The duty to protect and preserve our marine environment is taken very seriously at our dive operations and we contribute where we are able to with the logistics of a dive, particularly net removal dives, which is what has occurred recently, yet again!

There have been numerous net removal dives of late in the protected waters of the Tunku Abdul Rahman marine park, however we must all strive to maintain our Project AWARE position and increase the awareness on the health of our marine environment.

With all divers prepared for the dive, Downbelow Marine and Wildlife Adventures, then sponsor the logistics of the dive beyond the staff and internship candidates, but with dive boats and tools to remove the illegally discarded fishing net from the reef. Not only will we stop here, but there are plans in motion to create another conservation project of coral re-planting.

Keep up-to-date with our blogs and through our social media communities to watch how the health of our marine environment improves, and it will, because we’re already seeing a positive difference over the years!
