Underwater surveys for our future benefit!

updates

Students from the University of South Wales conducted underwater surveys for our future benefit!

Marine conservation is difficult, but not impossible, and our local Project AWARE ambassadors have noted positive differences between the past and present health of our local environment in the Tunku Abdul Rahman marine park.

Downbelow’s premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre hosts numerous groups of University students from all over the world every year, because the natural facilities offered are the perfect location for their educational purposes.

Professional scuba diving interns benefit tremendously from assisting on the visual census surveys, which adds more valuable experience with conservation activity as part of their diver lifestyle during their Go PRO courses, such as the PADI Divemaster or the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC).

Both Go PRO interns and their mentors have much more knowledge about the biodiversity of the marine life and its habitat in the TAR marine park from the data collected too!
