'Junk Yard' Crystal Dive & Eco Koh Tao's in-house reef adjacent to the dive school in Mae Haad is a brilliant addition to the island. Over the years is attracted numerous dive schools who use it on a regular basis.  It's one of the success stories of reef restoration, research and artificial reef developement.   Not only is it perfect for Open Water dives 1 & 2,  great depth, ample of sand, vast amount of marine life, most importantly it's takes some of the pressure off the natural reefs here on Koh Tao.

As time passes, you learn what works, what doesn't.  So with that in mind, we're in the process of creating and deploying new structures, not to expand the dive site but to create more of an attractive, safe habitat to increase the diversity of fish and invertibrate found on our dive site.

This is a 'Panda' coral nursery made by a student as part of his 'Marine Resource Management' course.
