HEPCA TurtleWatch Workshop

updates

On June 30th, the HEPCA Turtle Team went to Sharm EL Sheikh for a presentation on the TurtleWatch Project. TurtleWatch is a project designed to obtain data on marine turtles from professional and recreational divers. The workshop lasted for 1h30 and was divided into two sections: 1) marine turtle biology and ecology in general and 2) TurtleWatch and how to join. Participants received a printed copy of the TurtleWatch package (a manual, laminated identification sheets for marine turtles, a copy of the datasheet and an ID-key identification guide). Everybody showed a great interest in the project and marine turtles in general and there were many interesting questions and kind words of appreciation! Thanks to all who took part.  We hope it will be the first of many workshops!
