Adopt a Reef

updates

On the 1st of July 2016 we completed our first Dive Against Debris event on our house reef, Anchor Bay. Our intention was to remove some of the cyclone damage debris from the reef as it is our primery site for running Discover Scuba Dives and dive refreshers.

Our team consisted of 5 Dive Against Debris trained staff members whom over two days enthusiacally removed around 250kg of debris. After the obligatory team photos we safely loaded our bounty into a steel crate and it was shipped off island for correct disposal. A very successful first clean up which we will now be completing on a monthly basis as part of our commitment to "Adopt A Reef". Next clean up will take place on August 1st.
