Aussie Fundraiser's Touchdown Melbourne

updates

Sydney was a great start and Monday morning August 29, it was south via Wollongong visiting dive shops in Windang, cutting up through Avondale, Moss, Goulburn and onto Yass to meet up with our very good friends Rob and Ning Clark. What a wonderful time we had with these wonderful friends. Rob had prepared a bomb fire (huge bomb fire, something you could only do on a farm) followed with an unbelievable BBQ with many of their good friends from around Yass. The following day we got a guided tour of their farm, Ning showed us her hard work with the Lambs and other work on the farm with Rob giving the history and the many years hard work put in to make this place something very special. Then Rob and Ning took us off to Canberra for lunch at Rob’s favourite restaurant, and good it was, wine and more wine, and the food was yummy! The following day we left with a foggy morning, single digit temperatures and it was back off to Canberra to say hi to the dive operators in and around Canberra. Then a lovely ride down to Cooma and onto our motel in Bega. On the way to Bega we rode through some incredible rain forest, excellent riding up and down through some amazing winding roads, just what the big boys wanted!

Leaving Bega another fun ride to Traralgon where again we had fun talking with dive operators before leaving the next morning for Melbourne. Arriving in Melbourne we had a full day talking to some of the dive leaders from this neck of the woods, some impressive dive centers and some very cool operators made us feel welcome. Its off to visit Peter from Vision Divers tomorrow to see what we can do to help get the Melbourne beach and underwater clean up off to a good start.
