Underwater and Beach Clean-up

Ends
Vision Divers will be hosting an Underwater and Beach Clean-Up around the Williamstown Breakwater area on Sunday, September 4 2011 and we’re looking for all the help we can get. So why not get your SCUBA gear out and bring the family down for what is promising to be a fantastic day!!
We’ll be meeting at Williamstown Breakwater (cnr Victoria Street and Esplanade, Williamstown) from 10:00am for a short safety briefing and will be in the water from about 10:30am. We’ll get the BBQ fired up for lunch with all proceeds going towards The Aussie Fundraiser (www.aussiefudraiser.org) which is supporting both The Springboard Foundation and Project Aware Foundation.
If you are intending to dive: Please make sure that you bring dive gloves and if possible a catch bag to collect rubbish with. As we located a large number of glass bottles at a previous clean-up it is important that you bring these items to protect yourself.
For beach cleaners: If you have gardening or work gloves, we would encourage you to bring these along with you. At this time, we are unfortunately unable to supply you with gloves for the event.
In addition, we’re also holding a raffle which will be drawn following the clean-up. There are some fantastic prizes which have been donated and at just $10.00 per ticket, you really don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to win! Tickets are available from Vision Divers - 8/419 Old Geelong Road Hoppers Crossing
