The Debris dive is now scheduled to take place Sunday 21st February following previous postponment due to extreme weather conditions. The postponement was only for the days after the 'storm' and we will be looking to complete the dive this SUNDAY 21st FEBRUARY. So you now have a new opportunity to get involved. Contact me if you are interested and wish to sign up! [email protected]

Following the success of our Dive Against Debris which was conducted in March, we figured it was about time to revisit our sites and see what might have changed.

This will not only be a great opportunity to remove harmful debris from our ocean but it will also give us the chance to collect and submit repetitive data to Project AWARE so that it can be analysed against other submissions as well as make direct comparissons from other findings from the same area in previous dives. This is critical in helping us enforce changes so that we can keep as much debris from entering the ocean and in turn protect the many species which suffer and die as a result.

Divers Down will provide collection bags/gloves for protection and storage of debris along with any dive equipment you might need to complete the dives.

To help support the conservation effort we do ask for kindness by way of a donation which we will collect and arrange to send to Project AWARE. As an extra incentive, for a $60 donation we will also include the content and certification as a PADI Dive Against Debris specialty! As an even bigger incentive we have 2 FREE AWARE specialties to give away to the diver who; A) makes the biggest donation and, B) collects the most pieces of debris!

If you are in Cayman or plan to be, get in touch and join in the effort
