Dive Against Debris at Alki Cove 2, Seattle WA with Seven Seas Scuba
Ends
Join Seven Seas Scuba High School Intern Alli as she pursues her Senior Project which focuses on scuba and marine conservation. Alli learned to scuba dive in Washington last August just before the start of her Senior year and has continued to intern at Seven Seas Scuba in Vancouver, Washington during her school year.
As part of her internship, Alli has organized a Dive Again Debris day at Alki Cove 2 (aka Seacrest Park) in West Seattle on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Divers and topsiders will meet Alli at 9am. What to bring? Your normal dive gear and a small goodie bag if you have one.
Alli will be focusing on simple things divers can do on every day dives to help to make and keep our water ways cleaner. This doesn't have to involve huge lift bags or massive removals. Simply keeping an eye out and actively picking up general trash, especially small trash items and plastics that can be harmfully ingested or create entrapment of small critters, will go a long way to making a positive impact on the betterment of our environment.
