Clean Up and Marine Debris Survey at Trahili Beach, Skopelos island, Greece

Begins
Ends
Skopelos, Greece

39.087689, 23.658414

A small cove with sandy bottom at one of the remotest parts of Skopelos island. We like visiting this place because of its small beach and the bright colors underwater. Unfortunately there are a lot of trash in and out of the water.

On Saturday the 20th of September 2014, we performed  a Dive against Debris and a clean up of the beach Trahili and the shallow bottom of this diving site, in Skopelos island, at N.Sporades, Greece.

Our aims are:

  • to aware local and guest divers in environmental issues,
  • to clean up the beach and the bottom,
  • to report the data from the survey dive and
  • to initiate a temporal monitoring for the marine derbis.
