This weekend we placed the first of a series AWARE-cages in a fresh water river near Thorn. Last year we discovered that there was some (illegal?) fishing going on which affected the fish population around one of our diving sites. So we started building a cage which we filled witch branches and trees to create a save hiding place for fish and a hurdle for fishermen.

Last weekend we placed the first at around 7,5 meters next to a large fresh-water wreck. Now we wait and see what happens. If it works, we will build more cages and place them in the same area. we will keep you pasted.
