On December 1st 2012 Blue Season Bali will take part in a big underwater and beach clean-up event in Menjangan National Park.

Menjangan is located in the far North West of Bali, and forms an important part in the West Bali National Park. Besides the amazing wild life, such as deer, monkeys, and endemic birds, guests can enjoy world-class wall dives, stunning marine life and incredibly clear waters.

However, Menjangan National Park is subject to a huge amount of rubbish. Some of it is picked up by waves and currents from Java, some of it comes from Bali mainland. It is sad to see such an (underwater) treasure polluted by plastics, clothing fragments, etcetera.

Therefore we will send a team of ECO interns and Divemaster interns to the Menjangan. Assisted by our Marine Biologist Niels Rijneveld, the resident Instructors Daniel Stilwell and Claudine Daigneault, and hopefully some local staff as well, we will maximize our efforts to clean this hidden treasure in Bali! The previous clean-up in May proved to be a huge success with many Blue Season interns and also local people.

Feel free to drop by if you're around. Sign up for the event or let Dan ([email protected]) or Niels ([email protected]) know! Bring your own gloves and boots! :)
