DIVE ARMY, thanks to Rainbow Reef Dive Center will be doing an AWARE Dive Against Debris on Molasses Reef in Key Largo, Florida on Monday February 2, 2015 at 12:00.  We will be diving in two locations to help keep our reefs clean.  We will dive Molasses Deep and also the space between Sand Island and North Star.  These two sites have been selected because of their potential to be ignored.  The main 32 dive sites are dived on a very regular basis and our local divers do an excellent job at keeping them clean and free of rubbish and debris.  However, the deeper edge of the reef is outside of the sanctuary and may be being neglected.  Also the space between Sand Island and North Star is an area that seperates 2 reefs.  Again, this is an area that has a very high potential for neglect.  We expect to find bottles, cans, anchors, fishing rods, weights, and other debris.  Removing this rubbish, will help the health of the reef.  PLEASE feel free to come along and help keep our reefs clean.
