Local and volunteer divers recovered almost 200 meters of the deadly discarded "MONOFILAMENTS" commercial fishing nets at Phuket's top three dive sites. On board MV Freedom Dolphin, the plan was to remove 3 discarded nets on the King Cruiser Wreck during a day trip on 26th January 2021. However, divers also spotted much more ghost nets on dives inside Shark Point Sanctuary Pinnacle 2 and at Anemone Reef.
