Comments and Feedback
Second year in a raw a group of volunteer divers with support of Old Ceasarea Diving Center has organized a seabed cleaning event. This time the number of participants increased to 28: mostly divers from dive forum diving-club.com (Клуб Весёлых Дайверов) and administration of Old Caesarea Dive Center. As result of common efforts (or maybe not only) the amount of the debris has also increased. Overall was taken out: 10 kg of different types of glass; 1 kg of metal cans; 122 kg of various types of metal parts; 143 kg of plastic, plastic bottles, bags, nets, fishing lines, etc. It is important to mention that all divers were instructed accordingly and divided into teams; with different team roles: carrying a mesh bag, a buoy, collecting debris.
For this underwater event Serge Barshtman was only an instigator, Project Aware coordinator and of course a cheerleader. All divers would like to thank Old Caesarea Diving Center for necessary equipment, free air, low gear rent price, support and organization. Special thanks to Avi Lavi (instruction), Oleg Kalachov (organizing and documenting the event), Sergey Karev (organizing and controlling the event) and Denis Salnik (Photography)
