This weekend, a group of volunteer divers, with support of Old Caesarea Diving Center and forum diving-club.com has performed a dive with purpose to clean the seabed near ancient Caesarea port. 17 divers divided in teams of 2-3, and a few people on the land, succeed to extract from the water, to sort and dispose of 73 kg not expandable debris. In most plastic bags, bottles and fishing equipment, trash which poisoned the life of underwater flora and fauna. This is only a small part of what is at the bottom, but maybe it will serve as an example and a start of something bigger. When repeated, the results of this work will serve as a reference point for measuring changes in the pollution level of the sea. Many thanks to all participants! Take care of our sea!
