It was an amazing experience to see so many divers come together from the various dive centers to pull this clean up off. We had so many people join us on this clean up. Even tourists came, while on their vacation, to help us sort through debris! Strangers worked as a team to contribute to a common goal... to retrieve all the trash from the bottom of the sea.

I saw people from so many different backgrounds and cultures, unite to speak the same language to protect the marine ecosystem. With that, came the establishment of the Union of "Thiraïkís Sea", the first protected marine area in the Cyclades. I joined and promised to be there whenever they need me, especially in their actions relating to the bottom.

A HUGE thank you to Sofia Kitsou, Stefanos Tsainis, Evi Nomikou, Dimitris Kambanos, George Danezis, Minas Kafieris, Ioanna Vamvakouri, Vangelis Paravas, Manto Stournara, and so many others for your help, support and hospitality during my stay on the island. None of this would have been possible without each and every one of you!
