Type of Debris Fishing Hook and Line
Comments An Eel was found hooked onto a fishing line, we managed to cut the line but not remove the hook.

Recent rains causes thousands of wet wipes and other sanitary items to flush out of old sewage pipes.

Fishing Rod

Lobster and Crab pots wedged in the wreck

Wet wipes - difficult to identify once attached to wreck

In the days before the storm there were literally tons of wetwipes down there. Regrettably the vast majority of which were washed away by the time we could clean the wreck. Acosol, the water utility, have been informed and are making efforts to fix these pipes.

Acknowledgements: Patricia Gremo from Alasub Diving Club for organising the collaboration with Acosol. Lebeta and COIS Diving clubs for their kind help. The Fire Department diving team for joining us as well. Estepona Dive Centre for bringing a couple of divers and finally the Ayuntamiento de Marbella for helping plan and authorise the event despite Covid Restrictions.
