Type of Debris Net
Comments I found this small fish entangled in net. The netting was more like fishing line, and it was cutting into the flesh of the fish. The knife I had was not well suited to cut the fish free. I ended up removing my reg and biting through the line to free the fish. Fish swam away, but had obvious injuries. Check my later comments for a link to the video.

I found alot of plastic gloves on both dives on this day. The data chart lists only "nylon" for gloves on the plastic category, so on this one I have been listing them as "other" debris items. These gloves however are not nylon. They are just the standard food service type gloves restaurant workers typically use. I believe I am finding so many on this day because more and more people are camping/picnic/cooking on the beach and using them. Maybe such could be added to the plastic types? Or otherwise removing they term "nylon"?

This was the second dive of the day. I more or less went straight north with the intention of covering more northern areas of the dive site that I know have more debris and I rarely get to explore, with the intention of doing heavy cutting of ropes/nets..etc. As expected there was a lot of debris. I could have removed much more, but I spend a good 15 minutes trying to free a small fish from netting, and with the distance farther from entry point AND weighted down already I had to turn back. See the following link for a video of the randomness of BOTH dives. Check video mark 7:22 for the entangled fish. I was alone sadly, so the full rescue isn't on video :( https://vimeo.com/357067522/d67b9c49c5
