Torrential rain and gale-force winds. Typhoon Mangkhut (local name "Ompong", maximum sustained winds over 200 kph) caused all dives, boat tours and inter-island ferries to be cancelled.

Additional Information
The main beach of El Nido town in Palawan is the busiest but sadly the most neglected part of this major tourist destination. As far as I can tell, this is the first time an underwater cleanup was organized here; hence, the unusually large amount of debris collected in a very small area.
