Part of a window Frame from a boat 1

We found 3 parts that had come from boats - 2 rubbish parts and a window frame, so clearly the boats are having an affect on the debris. The area is used for boat and fishing trips. The vis was very poor on the dive with affected how much debris we could find, but a good effort was made with less than 50cm vis! After we had collected and documented the Debris from the dive, we did an mini beach clean up. It was a sunny day and a lot of left over rubbish from picnics were collected. Items we collected from the beach included disposable BBQs, yogurt pots, bottles, plastic wrappers and a pair of boxer shorts - these items would have ended up in the sea if we hadn't collected and disposed of.

Half a Window frame from a boat - a large heavy mental bar

Litter being left on the beach from picnics

Debris from boat parts

Fishing wire

The dive site is a nice little spot - steep entry and exit to the car park with kit but manageable. Max depth of 10m but most of the dive was at 3-4meters. The vis is poor but with a torch it was a very enjoyable dive - spotted crabs, Flounder Fish and a little star fish during the dive.
