I feel more of such event should be organised to educate and create awareness locally to encourage further protection from man made destruction. It would be very helpful for us if Project AWARE can inform our local related government bodies of our event result/data collected. This would give us more leverage in our effort to encourage marine conservation in our area.

Our event, Malaysia Day Dive, has been held for the third consecutive year had attracted more divers and also managed to gain the attention from both corporate and government bodies. Running Dive Against Debris is a very good program that attracts many divers and non-divers.
