Some free give aways from Project Aware would be nice to give to the participants. I gave away 3 x $50 vouchers as prizes, 18 tank fills, $50 worth of mesh bags as well as my time and fuel. All up we pulled out 23.6kg of rubbish, I donated the equivalent of $500 in terms of materials and my time, one diver donated $50 directly to Project AWARE as a result of the clean up. It would be nice to think that we could get some mesh bags to aid in the clean up or some drink bottles or hats or some token item to give to the participants without having to give more money then we already have to Project AWARE. With all of the money that is donated to Project AWARE on an annual basis one would think it was these grass roots clean ups that would get some support from PADI.

There is plenty more down there and I will be back running more events but next time I am going to have to charge for it as I can't afford to keep doing it on my own.
