B. dem Plastikmüll in den Meeren. „Wir möchten informieren und sensibilisieren“, erklärte Museumsdirektor Dr. Harald Benke, „um auf ein existenzielles Problem der Menschheit hinzuweisen – die zunehmende Vermüllung unserer Meere.“

Am Sonntag den 06.07.14 lud Tauchlehrer Toni von "Tauchen lernen am Bodensee mit Schumitoni.de" wieder ein paar geladene Taucher und Helfer schon sehr früh auf seine schon bekannte Bodenseereinigungstour, den "Seesäuberungsdive" ins Naturstrandbad nach Kressbronn. Fast alle Geladenen trudelten um 7.30 Uhr ein und es wurde auch bei schlechteren Sichtverhältnissen die angesagte Säuberungsaktion durchgezogen, da kennen wir nichts, aufgeräumt wird, wenn es angesagt ist.

Numerous species once widely fished by the EU, such as the porbeagle shark, have already been driven to near extinction in the Atlantic. But other species, like the blue shark, continue to be caught in huge numbers by EU boats because there are no limits on their exploitation.

It’s a big week for Andy. When his latest challenge to swim the distance around Koh Samui 84.7 kilometres in less than 30 days was almost complete he upped the distance to 100km!

The health of the global ocean is in decline and a five-year integrated rescue package is what’s needed to bring it back to life, according to a new report by the Global Ocean Commission.
