AWARE Week is back! Project AWARE® is partnering up again with PADI® to mobilize the global dive community to be citizen activists for a clean ocean. The second annual AWARE Week will see conservation activities focused on keeping the ocean clean and healthy takes place throughout the week of 14 - 22 September 2019. Ocean lovers around the world are invited to join in the AWARE Week celebrations and act for change.

To celebrate one of the biggest days in diving, we take a look at the women who are using their passion for marine conservation to create projects, businesses and movements to drive lasting change for our ocean planet.

Starting this Shark Week, July 28, we’re intensifying our efforts to mobilize support for national and international protections for shortfin mako sharks based on a new scientific assessment that finds the North Atlantic population has been severely depleted and is continuing to be seriously overfished. Live every week like it’s Shark Week! #MakeTime4Makos and join #Divers4Makos taking action year-round for science-based shark conservation measures.

PADI® and Project AWARE® are pleased to announce that the 2nd edition of AWARE Week is scheduled to take place globally the week of September 14-22, 2019. We call on all PADI Professional Members to get involved in this collaboration between PADI and Project AWARE in which the dive community comes together for nine days of education and earth-minded activities for a clean and healthy ocean.
