updates

The week of September 14-22 was marked by worldwide mobilization to combat marine litter. In addition to the AWARE Week and Clean Seas Week, promoted by UN Environment, there was also World Clean Up Day and Clean Up the World, worldwide movements that seek to raise awareness of the problem of accumulation and mismanagement of solid waste by conducting cleaning efforts.

The Projeto Verde Mar actively participated in these activities, from performing presentations with children from public schools to our already traditional underwater cleanup efforts, both Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd.

This year we had some important news and support that came to add and expand this movement. In addition to Blue Man Brasil, which is now an official partner of the Projeto Verde Mar, we had the support of Sucão Cozinha Saudável and the Bondinho Pão de Açúcar , which not only raffled two pairs of tickets to climb the Cable Car among the volunteers, but also received the collected waste to make the separation and correct destination of the material. See some photos and video of the actions.
