We, as well as many other dive centers, go to our open water training site really often. We believe in doing every dive a "dive agaisnt the debris" but from time to time ir is appropriate to organize an event to make a more extensive clean up and to visibilize out actions in front of the community with the purpose of make people aware of the importance of keeping our oceans clean.

Although the is not many big pieces of debris at Tikila Beach, the main problem are the very small pieces of plastic. Those are very numerous, difficult to collect and very harmful for the marine life.

We collected five kilograms of debris, mainly micro plastics. We will go again next month to see hoe the situation evolve.
