For PADI Women Dive Day we from Comino Diveshack organized a Dive Against Debris to clean up our bay right in front of the dive shop. Every weekend plenty of boats come into San Niklaw Bay (Comino,Malta), sometimes just dumping their trash into the sea. Apparently maltease people and tourists have still a lot to learn. Thus it was even more important to get people involved to help us cleaning up. Although we're a small dive shop we got 10 people to participate: Snorkelers and Divers helped us to collect 50 kg of trash within a hour. While doing the DAD we found a sea cucumber on which a cigarette filter and a sticker was stuck on its spike. We removed them gently so that the sea cucumber is free again. On top we collected 135€ to donate to Project Aware.
