Aloha Divers,

We are in the wake of the last successful clean up of Kua Bay on November 5th and we want to keep the momentum going! Our next clean up is December 12th. We are meeting at Kua Bay at 8 am or at Kona Honu Divers at 7:30 am. This is our seventh monthly clean up at our adopted dive site. So far, we have removed a total of 95 lbs of debris from Kua Bay's reef and we want to keep our positive impact going with your help!

Here at Kona Honu Divers we are proud to be the only dive shop on the Big Island who has adopted not only one but two dive sites through Project Aware's, "Adopt-A-Dive Site" program. We survey the two dive sites we have adopted on a regular basis. The Kaloko site is surveyed on a weekly basis, and Kua Bay, is surveyed once a month via shore dive.

On Sunday, August 6th, the Kona Honu crew will be at Kua Bay and organizing the dive. All you need to provide is your dive gear and tanks. If you don't have a dive buddy, we will pair you up with a new friend! Our crew will lead our team through proper clean-up techniques and join in the clean up. Come join in the fun while enjoying the beautiful marine life on our beautiful coast.

Kona Honu will provide tanks free of charge to those joining us!

If you need to rent gear Kona Honu offers $15 gear sets for those joining us!

Last month's clean up was a success. We collected 25lbs of debris and enjoyed a wonderful dive. Most importantly everyone walked away happy and smiling!

We would love to have you join us in helping take care of our reefs and marine life November 5th. Please RSVP directly to me at [email protected] with the subject line "November 5th Dive Against Debris"
