There is a period of about 2 months where the locals and property owners prepare heavily for the oncoming tourist season. During this period of haste, an apathetic attitude is shown by shopkeeps and laborers, evidenced by the way they uncaringly leave their material and garbage to be strewn about by the wind, to land up in the ocean. The Town also fails to provide adequate garbage collection, and does not aid in reducing the steady increase of garbage thrown out by an influx of tourists in the summer months.
