On October 16th 2016 Liquid organized a Beach & Underwater Cleanup. Heavy rains and wind didn't stop 16 people from participating and collecting a grand total amount of 87kg of debris. 60kg of trash was collected from the beach by 8 people including honeymooners and quite a few staff. At some point the bags almost got too heavy to carry! On the beach we found a green toy train, a collection of flipflops, beautiful pieces of clothing and a lot of styrofoam and polystyrene. Some bottles (unfortunately without love letters) washed ashore as well...

During the underwater cleanup one team recovered a fishing net weighing a grand total of 25kg! They saved a beautiful piece of coral and surrounding marine life from entanglement...

We finished the day with a Pub Quiz and Happy Hour at the Liquid Pool Bar. All in all a great effort and on behalf of Liquid and Project AWARE we would like to thank all participants. Thanks to you our Housereef and Beach is a cleaner, safer and more beautiful environment!
