Despite being privately owned with no fishing and no trespassing signs, this lake is frequented by owners with dogs and they throw balls into the lake. We hit the jackpot in recovering 36 tennis balls.

boxer shorts

plastic fragments

food wrappers - people go to the lake to hang out or with their pets and litter

tennis balls - dog owners throwing balls into the lake for their pets to retrieve

This is our 3rd clean up this year and we are making progress our clean up group is growing as well. It may not be directly related, but we are seeing more fish in the lake a well. We are hopeful that with continued efforts (one cleanup a month during the diving season) we can continue to improve the health of our lake!
