This is a popular beach-goers beach. Across from numerous bars and restaurants. The clean-up was a weekend after Labor Day. Items collected were what was left behind from the Beach Sweepers.
The rusty rebar
cigarette butts
beer and soda cans
plastic drink cups and straws
Comments and Feedback
I feel the City believes their Beach Sweepers 'clean the beach enough' -- yet, they don't. Especially after Holidays and events that take place there. It's the 'smaller' debris items that really need to be picked up by 'human hands' - not machines. There are the items that are damaging our sea life.
