Marine Debris from the South West Winds

updates

With the prevailing winds coming from the South West, comes the endless stream of trash washing up ashore at Dive Downbelow's PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre in Gaya Island, TARP.

Beach clean ups are a routine for Downbelow's crew every morning, but now we have to double up our efforts. The crew spends more time now heading out into the water with their kayaks to pick up the floating debris instead of waiting for them to wash ashore. As persistent as these debris are, we will keep fighting the battle in hopes that we can win the war. Marine conservation is the utmost important thing for us!
