May 2016 Net Removal

updates

On May 19th 2016, we headed out to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park in countinuation of our efforts to locate and remove illegally discarded nets.

The search brought us to a dive site just outside of the park called Edgel Patches Small. After 2 dive attempts, a net measured an alarming 200m was discovered laying on the reef and removed immediately by the dedicated team of Dive Downbelow PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre.

Though we were relieved with the our success, there's still more nets to catch! We are deeply committed to the conservation of the ocean and its marine life, so we plan to have more dive operations in the future to protect it.
